CAD/CAM Torch (Groups J & L only)

Students learn how to use a computer to design a small torch and complete its manufacture on a CNC machine.

One term within year

Students are assessed on the quality of their finished torch and their work booklet. They will receive a NC Level given for whole project and targets are set at the end of each term to ensure students know how to improve on their work and progress to the next level.

 

Maritime Design (Groups K and M only)

Students learn how to use a range of hand tools to manufacture a clock in wood.

One term within year
