Baseline Test on entry to school.

Music Medal Examinations for suitable candidates.

Opportunities for parents to help

 

Encourage participation in a live musical activity.

Listening skills with the aim of developing discernment, a skill of higher order.

At all times whether as a performer, composer or Listener.

Routine performance for other members of the class. Recording of performance . Opportunities to comment in a constructive way on the work of others.

Support instrumental work.

Composing.

As a student begins to have enough knowledge to try  things out. Some experience of Music Technology mainly Sibelius programme.

The completion of a successful piece of music possibly presented to others to play.

Accompany the student  to live music events.

Work on instrumental skills, solo and ensemble, listening etc.. The introduction of sound tracks and awareness of how a musician uses musical elements to enhance visuals Experience of Cubase programme linked with Art and English

A recorded version of such a piece.

A completed piece of work finished to a high standard.

Continuing development of Basic skills, performing, Listening and composing. The opportunity to use Cubase with moving image. The opportunity to import their own animations into Cubase and create a musical sound track
