pupils are assessed by 2 exams in may. The
course work is internally marked and some students work is sent to the
external moderator for cross marking. This final deadline for this is May 15th. The
practical component is assessed throughout the course of the year and some
students are selected to be assessed by an external moderator during the
summer months. The deadline for practical marks is March 30th. |

pupils are assessed by 2 exams in may. The
synoptic component of the course is a verbal exam where students must give an
oral analysis of a practical performance and apply their knowledge of all 6
concepts covered during the A level course. The
practical component is assessed throughout the course of the year and some
students are selected to be assessed by an external moderator during the
summer months. The
final deadline for synoptic and practical marks is 30th March. |
