Grey v-necked jumper with school logo or grey cardigan with school logo

Years 7-11

Grey v-necked jumper with school logo or grey cardigan with school logo

Light blue shirt

Plain black school trousers (not canvas, cord, linen, cargo style or leggings)

Traditional plain black skirt (not lycra). Skirts should be of a practical length

Tights should be plain black or grey, not patterned

Plain black or white socks (no leg warmers, footless tights or over the knee socks)

Practical black school shoes

Outdoor coat or jacket

A plain black or navy woollen hat is optional in winter (outdoor use)

A plain black or navy cap is optional in summer for sun protection (outdoor use)

 

Physical Education-Girls

 

Plain navy shorts

Grey polo shirt with school logo (compulsory for all Year groups) 

White socks

Training shoes-no canvas plimsolls

Navy hockey socks for games

There will be a standard navy blue top for outdoor use. This is currently being

sourced to ensure best value and will be available in September.

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED BY ALL STUDENTS

Daily Planner (obtainable from school), pen, pencil, 30cm ruler, rubber.

Pair of compasses and protractor

Scientific calculator

Dictionary

Many of these items are available to purchase from the school Reprographics Department.

 

Music

A descant recorder will be required for Year 7 students only. These can be purchased

from the Music Department.

 

Expectations

 

Hairstyle/colour should be suitable for school.  Hair bands and slides

should be dark blue or black. Suitability will be at the discretion of school.

 

·        No trainers, mules, sandals, high heels, canvas shoes or boots

(in inclement weather boots can be worn to come to school but students are

expected to change into school shoes)

·        No denim jackets, denim coats, sweatshirts, hoodies or leather jackets

·        No scarves to be worn inside school

·        No jewellery, ear-rings, tattoos, facial, tongue or

body piercing (or plasters to cover them) 

·        Wrist watches may be worn  

·        No nail varnish or excessive make-up

·        No badges

·        iPOD/MP3 players and mobile telephones must not be seen in lessons,

assemblies or registration. They must be turned off and put into bags.

If an iPOD/MP3 phone is seen or heard during the stated times it will be

confiscated and sent to the main office to be collected at the end of the day.

Students found abusing the use of a phone (e.g. making threatening calls)

could be banned from bringing a phone to school.

School will not accept liability for any loss or damage.
