Homework
is a crucial part of your child’s education.
Homework allows pupils to:
Homework will
be given regularly, at the discretion of the teacher. Homework covers a range
of activities, which may include:
Organisation
If pupils
are going to produce good homework, they need to be organised. This means your
child needs to use the homework planner effectively. Teachers emphasise the importance of this
planner each lesson. Your child should
write down all homework and the date due in. Teachers make sure pupils have
written this down in their lessons. All
staff set deadlines so that pupils have time to seek out extra help if
necessary but this means pupils need to be organised.
The
spreadsheet below contains more specific information about the subjects that
set homework and how long they suggest is spent on it. This is a guide only and your child may need
to spend longer on some pieces of work.
